Back to solving crimes with SQL. This time we solved our first murder case, yay! Although, not a murder in the real world, but rather in an online multiplayer game. We had to deeply understand the game mechanics, backtrack player movements, dive into the economy, infiltrate guilds and even surface a politics conspiracy. This time it was much less about SQL and much more about deeper understanding the case. I was just a little bit sad that I got distracted so much on various minor clues instead of focusing on the main suspects, I would have probably solved the case much faster. But then again, we had a lot of fun figuring out how to speak the Hemp language and reading a bunch of guild forum posts.
