Time to check out a new game requested by @echoladone.
This time we play as a detective that uses the power of SQL to solve such heinous crimes as stolen sandwiches or late hotel checkout. Yeah, can you believe that?! We even had to deal with someone who dared to, ugggh, put a pineapple on a pizza!
And yeah, the game looks super fun. At least for me, who did spend quite some time with SQL databases in the past. But I’m pretty sure this also could be used as an excellent way to teach someone completely new to databases how to work with SQL in a very fun and engaging way.
We managed to solve the first 6 cases (supposedly, out of 8 in total). But the last one took quite some time to solve, probably half of the stream. It turned out to be not as straightforward as the previous ones. So we’ll see if we can beat the two final chapters on the next Gaming Friday stream.
