This time we had another Gaming Friday stream, and we started a new game, King’s Quest, the first original release for DOS. It’s the first game in a long series of Sierra’s King’s Quest games.
I really wanted to play at least some of the games in the series for a long time, and I wanted to start from the first game in the series. And although there were numerous enhanced releases and remakes after the original release, I wanted to experience the original one myself, see how it’s been like back in the days.
I was warned that the game is hard, you die a lot, and the next input is hard to guess… But so far I had a pretty pleasant experience. I know I’m not even close to the end and it can get worse, but I don’t really see any big problems so far.
But we’ll see next Friday, we’ve only seen about ⅓ of the game, at least according to the score.
