This time on Gaming Friday we continued our massacre in the Black Mesa.
I’ve made some optimizations to my PC setup so this time it ran much more smoothly, my PC wasn’t trying to die like the last time. Although looks like certain parts of the game are not optimized at all and sometimes we still got FPS drops down to 10-15, but at least this time it felt much better.
We’ve made a ton of progress this time: we’ve dealt with a ton of aliens and military, including various tanks and (ugh) ninjas, and we’ve finally reached the Lambda reactor complex (yay!).
We had to do a lot of work to start the reactor to power the teleport system and we somehow navigated our way through the teleports to the (I guess) the final frontier of the scientists in this facility, they armed us and sent us directly into Xen. And oh boy it’s beautiful. We’ve got only a short glimpse of it on this stream, but we’ll continue exploring it properly next Friday.
